In order to expedite the quoting and manufacturing start-up of electronic assemblies, it is desirable to receive Bills of Material in electronic media with the required information.  This will enable Genesis to efficiently and accurately quote and start-up your programs/projects. - Genesis utilizes Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word) to read and configure electronic file transmittals.  The information is loaded into a central ERP/MRP software system. - Files maybe transmitted as a ZIP package, PDF, spreadsheet, ASCII, common table, or HTML.  If information is transmitted via fax or hardcopy in a table format, Genesis will utilize text recognition software to convert hardcopy into electronic files. - The following informational fields are requested: Assembly Part Number, Component Part Number, Component Description, Qty Per, Unit Measure, Reference Designators Approved Component Manufacturer and MFG. Part Number - Separate AVL or included with bills of material. The files maybe transmitted via e-mail, CD, diskette or retrieval via FTP or web address. Engineering Drawings can be transmitted in any standard drawing file, contact Genesis Engineering for input on any special/custom drawing or CAD package files.
